CITES
The Dendrobatic frogs we sell are subject to the Washington Convention (CITES). If you live in a country outside the European community you will need CITES documents from us to receive an import license in your country. It takes us two weeks to get the CITES documents from the Dutch Department of Agriculture, Nature Conservation and Fishery. The documents will be supplied in English and at this moment a CITES document for one species, independent of the quantity will cost € 45,50.
Ordering
You can phone or e-mail us your order too. We accept Visa and Eurocard / MasterCard. When ordering this way we advice you not to e-mail your credit card information, but to phone us your credit card number and expiration date. On receiving confirmation we will dispatch your ordered animals as soon as possible.
All prices are exclude shipping and include Dutch V.A.T. Payment in Euro.
Shipment
The minimal airfreight prices (IATA) per shipment are approximately € 137,- depending of destination. The price of shipping is by volume, not by weight. Unfortunately, US clearance and handling costs are rather expensive, some airports ask up to € 250,- per shipment. In light of these amounts, it becomes rather expensive to ship two or three frogs. The larger the shipment, the more cost effective your order will become.
The means of transport for frogs (separately packed) is a ventilated container kept warm by a heat pack in a Styrofoam box. Under normal conditions, the animals can survive for a minimum of 72 hours in these circumstances. We feel that we pack the animals for air travel to our utmost ability, but cannot guarantee safe arrival of the animals because of circumstances beyond our control. Furthermore, we advise you not to order live animals in the winter since we do not know where the customs store your animals until you pick them up.
